Collaboration should improve overview and knowledge sharing about advanced therapy medicinal products
ATMP Denmark and NHTA have entered into a partnership to develop concrete digital tools that will make it easier for stakeholders in Denmark to find knowledge, gain an overview, and collaborate on advanced therapy medicinal products.

Advanced therapies – also known as ATMPs – hold great potential for patients with both rare diseases and major common diseases. But if that potential is to be translated into new opportunities for patients and the healthcare system, it requires overview, knowledge, and collaboration across sectors. That is why ATMP Denmark is working to create a single point of entry to advanced therapies in Denmark.
As part of this work, NHTA will contribute to the development of digital solutions that support ATMP Denmark’s role as a national hub. Among other things, the collaboration will contribute to a knowledge bank and a map that will make it easier to find relevant knowledge, stakeholders, competencies, and areas of collaboration in the ATMP field.
“ATMP Denmark has a strong vision of bringing together and strengthening the Danish ATMP landscape. We are proud to be able to support that vision with our expertise in digitalisation, health data, and knowledge dissemination, so that knowledge and networks become easier to find, share, and use across sectors.” Andreas Pagh, Partner at NHTA.
The knowledge bank will bring together relevant materials, guidance, and resources on advanced therapies in one place. The map will provide a more visual and structured overview of the Danish ATMP landscape.
For ATMP Denmark, the collaboration is part of a broader ambition to make the field more accessible and support the development and clinical implementation of advanced therapies in Denmark.
“If Denmark is to stand strong in the ATMP field, we need a shared overview and better access to knowledge across sectors. With the knowledge bank and the map, we are taking concrete steps toward making ATMP Denmark a useful entry point for researchers, clinicians, companies, and other stakeholders working to develop and clinically implement advanced therapies,” says Malene Kristine Nielsen, Programme Director at ATMP Denmark.
The first solutions are being developed and refined continuously in collaboration with relevant professional environments. The goal is for the tools to be expandable over time and help make knowledge, experience, and points of contact in the ATMP field easier to find and use.
